Obstacles
Slow seasons drive me crazy. Its not easy to sit around and wait for clients to walk in or call. And in my case it has to be the "right" one. I have to sit there, take shit, and wait for that right person for me. At this "young" age the right one might just be someone in their teens or 20s.
I don't know how i feel about this right now. Sometimes I think that this field just isnt working in the area that I'm in. These feelings are called demons. I have them, we all do.
It never gets better.

Sorry Man
I feel bad today, the salon let my friend go. I tried to not think about it all day but it got me feeling really down. I feel that the guy has been tossed around from salon to salon and no one ever helps him get grounded.
To all stylist starting off in this career... from the bottom of my heart, I will say that doing this is not easy. In fact it can be really hard on your self. First off you have to know lots of people to stay busy. Second when your not busy you have to learn to keep to yourself and be strong. Also make sure you are ready to be on the floor. Just because you have that pieace of paper, aka, license, it doesn't mean that your a stylist just yet.
When I got out of school it took one horrible blow dry to realize I wasn't fit to be behind the chair just like that. I stood behind the stylist as a back up, an apprentice. I watched them take sections skillfully in their hand, hold it up and point cut with such focus. It takes time to build that eye.
I went through a year and a half watching them do the things I was expected to do. How to cut, color, style, consult, communicate, and much more. These are things that you can't expect to get so suddenly.
In all honesty I really hope that he finds his way in this crazy field. I for one have learned a lot from him. He has a lot of guts to just keep going. Also he believes in himself far more than I can ever say I believe in myself. I respect that.
Heartaches are often cured with cookies n milk!

Everyday is like Sunday • Morrissey
inspiration comes from music for me. I get so many ideas from the music I listen to, in fact after listening to Morrissey I decided to do hair, that it was some how my calling, I know it sounds like the typical thing to do but i guess i'm just typical that way...
A couple that changes together
Stays together! Brendan and I have decided to go back to the roots of it all! Where rock n roll was born, where Elvis gained his crown, and punk began to steam its roots. I'm talking about Rockabilly.
If you've ever seen cry baby then you know what I'm talking about. I guess we just feel like we belong to that group, we both love vintage, we both love blues, jazz, and punk. And we both love Morrissey.
I guess there is something classic about us that makes it so perfect.

Comic Book
Ive been trying to write a comic lately. I have faith that i can do this, and I will do this but I don't really have anyone backing me up. It's really scarry breaking into a whole new world that I'm not familiar with.
The story is about a Russian Gang that turns its back on a member named Alexa. She was really good at her job, a little too good and so the Mob boss' wife goes after her and leaves her for dead. After being hosptialized she is rescued by a CIA agent that convinces her to take her revenge and capture the bad guys.... i dont want to keep going on from there but there is def more to it then just that!
I love to write I do it whenever I can. Its my escape from the world I live in and know not that I need to but I guess we all do once in a while.
I have a story line, I have a strong charatchers I just need to style it and make it so good it gets published!
Passion goes a long way... I'm told

Festival Hair
Hello Ladies!!! This post is for you!
After going to Coachella I noticed a lot of girls had great looking hair. There was def a big hippie chic trend this year as well as a very retro 60's hair look. I ate up everything I saw and I'm happy to share it on here!
First things first I did see the dread lock look everywhere I went.

I love the look as long as you maintain it. I hate looking at filthy natty dreds, nasty. I was very surprised to see how this look was everywhere and how different it was on everyone.
Next big thing was the goth look, I happen to love this.

that was taken from the vidal 2010 autum winter look, I think after the wedding I will be doing this... maybe. The XX front woman wears it well... as did the noodle in Gorillaz who is also in Little Dragon!
And the biggest hit, the style you cannot go wrong with is loose curls and a hair band!

Wear it in a loose bun throw it in a straw hat too!!! You cannot go wrong or look crazy thats what I did I teased it up, put glitter in it, wore a feather head pieace and yay I had festival hair tooooo!
Head pieaces were very big. Some people made them and some bought them but it was neat to see people crowned with feather and butterflies and all kinds of thing.

Whatever you do just have fun and wear sunblock on face and on very pretty hair color!
